Getting Money Out... Part 5: Contactless, Mobile And App Payments
If you're not already, you'll soon be buying stuff and making mobile or contactless payments on your phone. Or you can transfer money to friends via apps like Venmo or Square Cash. Even Gmail let's you send money via email, or Skype via a message, so the options are endless.
Do realize, that with most of these payments, the good old debit card comes in to play.
You add your debit card number (or your bank account) to your device or app, and with that swipe or click of a button, you can buy stuff, pay a person, or be repaid. Some of these services are free, but some require fees for different services they provide.
It's important to research any service, or any app before downloading it, to make sure it does what you need, and that you understand the fees (if any) you may have to pay.
