Here's a look at the types of endorsements, and what they mean.
Let's say you just got your hard-earned paycheck. You want to give that money to someone else. This is called a "blank" endorsement.
A "BLANK" ENDORSEMENT: You want anybody to be able to cash your check, including your worst enemy.
- This is a very dangerous endorsement.
- This endorsement means that anybody can cash your check - even somebody that finds it on the street.
- To make a 'blank' endorsement: You simply sign the check on the back, making sure your signature matches the way the check is written.
- You've just turned the check into cash.
